ARTWORK

OIL | WATERCOLOR
For nearly 30 years art, primarily 2-dimensional oil and watercolor painting, have been a creative outlet for me. I am not a professional in that I do not paint regularly but have participated in several smaller shows as well as donated multiple pieces to local fundraising events and professional organizations. My artistic journey began early in life. Using a combination of palette knives and brushes my goal is to create dynamic compositions that invite viewers to explore the layers of texture and color, creating harmonious pieces that tell stories.
Art is a dialogue between the artist and the viewer. I admire art that inspires others to see beauty in the mundane and I routinely pull inspiration from my own life and travels. As I continue on my artistic journey, I hope to explore new techniques and mediums, possibly incorporating newer themes. I dream of a melding of both my artistic and architectural endeavors, each inspiring the other.
