STUDIO 416
BUILT WORK

COZY CASITA
This small art studio, constructed by the previous owner, is located at the back of a historic property in Downtown Albuquerque. It stayed vacant for many years until the new owners decided to rethink the small space as a guest house / casita. The goal of the project was to retain the creative spirit of the original space while introducing modern comforts and custom design elements that make the casita both fun and welcoming.
The renovation will include upgraded insulation, plumbing, and electrical systems, along with the addition of a compact kitchen and a full bathroom to support independent living or extended guest stays. A bright, cheerful color palette will be used throughout, paired with unique, handcrafted details that reflect the artistic roots of the original studio. Thoughtful design will ensure the space remains open and inspiring, blending creativity with comfort in a one-of-a-kind modern retreat.
