SCHEMATIC DESIGN

BOSQUE ABODE.
A growing family, the Gonzales' were looking to construct a modern home on an existing plot of land adjacent to the Rio Grande bosque. The resulting design is a melding of 70's and southwest styles. A large concrete fireplace anchors the home and defines the private and public portions of the home. A large family | great room sits at the heart of the home. 14 foot, tongue and groove ceilings and exposed wood structure bring warmth to the space while the polished concrete floor and pops of color bring a modern, fresh flair.
Plenty of glazing, high, clerestory windows and a 12 foot folding glass door bring the beauty of the surrounding landscape inside.
Custom steel accents include the kitchen hood surround, firewood storage box, mantle, and primary bed headboard. The goal of
