PRESERVATION TECHNOLOGIES

Description: As a guest lecturer for the UNM SAAP Preservation Technologies and Adaptive Re-use class, I present some of my professional experience with adaptive re-use / historic preservation projects and discussed the process, collaborations, and preservation technologies that went into making these projects a success. The presentation primarily focuses on the NMHU Trolley Barn renovation and NMHU Rodgers Hall renovation completed with Baker Architecture + Design.

ARCHITECTURE + DESIGN SUMMER ACADEMY

Description: The Summer Academy is a week-long session where local high school students are introduced to the profession via a small studio design project. Summer 2021 the project centered on housing for those experiencing homelessness, in particular tiny homes. I was asked to speak regarding the recently completed Tiny Home Village project of which I was the Project Manager (Architect of Record: Baker A+D)

NORTH CAMPUS MEMORIAL DEDICATION

Description: As part of a year long celebration of the University of New Mexico (UNM) School of Medicine's 50th Anniversary, the project was won through a competition organized by the School of Medicine and School of Architecture and completed construction in 2018. At the dedication I was asked to speak on the inspiration, design, process and what this moment meant for me as a young designer tasked with this immense responsibility and honor.
